On vous embarque pour une petite virée à Boston, scène mineure mais qui recèle néanmoins son lot de pépites. On commence par dégrossir le terrain avec un petit quizz qui permet d’y voir plus clair sur la situation historique et culturelle de Boston. Ce qui nous amène ensuite à dévoiler le rôle qu’a joué cette ville dans le développement du rap sur la East Coast. Une fois ce décor bien planté, nous nous intéressons à Edo. G, un des premiers rappeurs à faire briller la ville sur la scène nationale, et qui en demeure l’un des plus importants. Puis nous passons du côté underground et indé avec Mr. Lif, dont les aventures en début d’années 2000 à bord du navire Def Jux, fameux label new-yorkais, l’ont propulsé au premier plan des artistes éloignés des rivages mainstream. Enfin nous terminons ce tour en abordant les artistes plus actuels de la scène, avec globalement 2 salles 2 ambiances, l’une cool et posée, l’autre ultra-violente et obscène, avant de vous proposer notre menu maxi-best-of en guise de guide touristique.
